Candelabra cave & Santa Pola

Hello everyone! :) Here I am with another outfit post, but it's also a "touristic" one as I want to show also something else on my blog, basically the things I enjoy very much, and travel is on the top of my list. So about two weeks ago we visited two places near Alicante, Candelabra cave in the interior and quite high up in the mountains, and Santa Pola, a small village on the cost, both of them only half an hour from Alicante. 

The cave is really amazing, it's not just a normal cave, it's a huge one, 175m high, with curious limestone formations, carefully lit with lamps, many of the shapes resemble candelabras, so that's how it got the name. It's been formed over millions of years by dripping water, and with a little of imagination you can see a castle, a dragon, a shark and even Bart Simpson! :D The place has amazing acoustics and that's why concerts have been held there. The cave was discovered by the Arabs who used it as a shelter during the occupation and in the Spanish Civil War it was used as place for aircraft repairing.

Santa Pola is a small fishing village on the coast, with a charming old city castle, it was ancient Greek and Iberian economic settlement... it's nice to spend a couple of hours there but I wouldn't recommend it for vacation, because the beaches aren't that nice :D But hey, it's only my impression! ;)

Also, as you can see, I wore my favorite yellow dress, which I bought ages ago in H&M, and I love love that color, it's so me, and I don't know... yellow just makes me happy! :) I hope you like this post and have a great weekend! :)
