Turkey #6: Antalya

I have this thing with Antalya... my each visit lasts only one day and for some reason my travel destiny always takes me there. Over and over again. Maybe to discover it entirely because each visit is just a piece of a puzzle. The puzzle made of Mediterranean sea, something Roman, something Ottoman, something old and something new. And every part of this city is my favorite: Hadrian's gate, Kaleici - old city center, full of narrow streets and Ottoman houses from anterior centuries, numerous waterfalls, beaches, the street with colorful umbrellas, the view... The view that spreads far away until the Taurus mountains. It's not a typical beach town, it's a city with over 1 million of people and the third most visited city in the world by number of international arrivals, ranking behind Paris and London! It's a perfect mix of old and modern, such as Turkey itself. Even Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey, said that is was the most beautiful city in the world. While I was walking on its streets and corners in a search for apple tea, Turkish delight and another perfect pair of harem pants, I felt it again. I felt that I would be back but I promised myself that I would spend at least a week. And I think you should do the same ;)

Antalija i ja imamo jednu čudnu vezu... svaka moja poseta ovom gradu traje jedan dan. A iz nekog razloga moja putnička sudbina me iznova vodi baš tamo.
