Tossa de Mar #1 - meeting Ava Gardner

I can't even begin to explain you how much I felt in love with Tossa de Mar. You need 1 hour drive from Barcelona to find yourself in this fairytale place. I know for sure that the weekend I spent there won't be my last. It's a cute little town with beautiful beaches, Roman ruins, medieval old town and a castle which paths let you enjoy in amazing views while you climb to the lighthouse or you go down to old little streets with cute houses made of rock and full of flowers. I didn't know I was going to meet a Hollywood diva, Ava Gardner (well, her statue :P) which was built in her honor. She was living in Tossa while filming a movie called Pandora & The Flying Dutchman (1951). It was a beautiful sunny day and that meant one thing: a very colorful outfit, so typical for me :)

No puedo explicar cuanto me enamoré de Tossa de Mar. Necesitáis solo una 1 hora de viaje de Barcelona para llegar a este sitio de cuentos de hadas. Estoy segura que el finde que pasé ahí no será mi último. Es un sitio con mucho encanto, playas preciosas, ruinas romanas, casco antuguo de la época medieval y el castillo cuyos caminos llevan a sitios con unas vistas espectaculares. Podéis subir arriba y llegar hasta el faro o bajar hasta los callejones llenos de casitas de piedras y flores. No sabía que ahí conecería a una diva de Hollywood, Ava Gardner, bueno, su estatua :P Ava vivió en Tossa mientras grababa la película Pandora y el holandés errante (1951). El día fue soleado y precioso y eso signifacaba una cosa: un outfit muy colorido, tan típico para mí :)

Ne mogu da vam opišem koliko me je očarala Tosa de Mar, bajkovito mesto na samo sat vremena vožnje od Barselone. Sigurna sam da vikend koji sam provela tamo neće biti poslednji. To je gradić na obali mora sa prelepim plažama, rimskim ruševinama, srednjevekovnim starim gradom i zamkom sa čijih staza se pruža neverovatan pogled. Gornja staza vodi ka svetioniku a donja ka malim ulicama posutim kaldrmom i kamenim kućama sa cvećem. Nisam znala da ću tom prilikom upoznati i jednu holivudsku divu, Avu Gardner (tj. njenu statuu :P). Ava je živela u Tosi za vreme snimanja filma Pandora i leteći Holanđanin (1951). Dan je bio divan i sunčan a to je značilo samo jedno: vesele boje na odeći, tako tipično za mene :)
